Father (ෆාදර්) is a Sri Lankan Sinhala action-thriller film directed by Chaminda Jayasuriya and produced by Shantha Geethadewa.

The film is inspired by true events that took place during Sri Lanka’s politically turbulent era from the 1970s to the 1990s. Father tells the story of a powerful and influential figure who rises against a deeply corrupt political system, becoming a symbol of resistance, fear, and authority during a dark period in the country’s history.

Blending intense action with political drama, the film explores themes of power, justice, loyalty, and sacrifice, highlighting the personal cost of standing against oppression and corruption.

The film stars Saumya Liyanage, Pujana Dandeniya, Dilhani Ekanayake, Bimal Jayakody, along with a strong supporting cast.
